Job Summary
Interact with visitors at the Museum of Ancient Life front desk and inside the venue to ignite family learning and guide exploration. Act as the primary management contact to resolve guest complaints, Tessitura questions, and other issues. Support the Thanksgiving Point mission by mentoring team members in admissions and facilitation while assisting with day-to-day operations. Follow scripts to achieve sales, membership, and business development goals. Ensure the gift shop remains organized and stocked. Exemplify the organization's mission, values, and policies with compassion and curiosity. Maintain a culture of ongoing learning and collaboration across departments.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work rotating day and evening shifts during the week, including Saturdays and Holidays
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude including great guest service skills and abilities
- Ability to make decisions independently and work effectively as a team member
- Organized, reliable, kind, and professional at all times
- Able to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Able to lift 30 lbs
- Speaks fluent English
- One year of experience in a supervisory role
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Pass a background check
- Be at least 18 years old
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in customer service, hospitality and/or youth leadership and museum experience preferred but not required
