Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment, including backhoes and mini excavators, to perform residential and commercial sewer and water line repairs and replacements. Safely load, unload, transport, and secure equipment on trailers while inspecting and maintaining machinery. Follow OSHA regulations and safety policies when working in confined spaces, open trenches, and varying weather conditions. Collaborate with crews to complete projects within established timelines while communicating professionally with customers and maintaining a clean work environment. Full-time onsite role requiring a valid driver's license and experience with trenchless water, sewer, or gas line installation.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or utility environment
- Comfortably operate an E-35 Excavator
- Experience with trenchless water, sewer, or gas line installation and repair
- Experience with residential and commercial excavation projects
- Ability to safely load, unload, and transport heavy equipment
- Strong understanding of excavation safety practices and OSHA regulations
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
- Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and open excavations
