Job Summary
Lead customized subcontractor bidders lists, prepare conceptual estimates, and generate high-level VE/VM logs with accuracy. Diagnose errors in subcontractor estimates, review quantity take-offs and material pricing, and draft first-pass General Conditions and General Requirements. Mentoring estimating staff, you support bid day compilation, manage historical costs, and conduct GO/NO-GO reviews for self-perform trades. Maintain relationships with trade partners while adhering to bid schedules and realigning deliverables through the Estimate Checklist.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years estimating or related experience
- Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, and BIM Models
- Ability to make accurate judgements and calculate associated risks
- Ability to use all estimating software such Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, Destini, or other programs to complete daily duties
- Working knowledge of current construction costs and principles
