Job Summary
Lead eSoftware Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining a benchmark algorithmic trading platform for Asian markets; contribute to front office trading teams with pre- and post-trade analysis and the design of algorithmic trading strategies; design and build algorithmic trading strategies and a trading platform across multiple business silos with a focus on robustness and resiliency; execute creative software solutions, develop high-quality production code, and lead reviews across teams; identify opportunities to automate remediation and improve operational stability; lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and drive adoption of new technologies; foster communities of practice and contribute to an inclusive team culture; requires extensive Java expertise, cloud native capabilities, automation, and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle within a financial services context.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related disciplines
- 5 or more years of software engineering experience
- Mastery in Java with respect to designing, coding, testing, and software delivery
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- In-depth knowledge and proficiency in Java programming
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems, and equities trading system
- Hands-on experience in algorithmic strategy development
- Practical cloud native experience
