Job Summary
Lead eSoftware Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining an algorithmic trading and liquidity platform across Asian markets. Drive design and deployment of front-office strategies, smart order routing, and integration with multiple teams to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant trading infrastructure. Collaborates on lifecycle practices to embed reliability, conducts pre/post-trade analysis, translates client requirements into customizable algo strategies, sets up A/B experiments, and leads incident response and operational excellence efforts. Requires hands-on expertise in electronic trading systems, scripting/automation (Python, Bash), SDLC/CI/CD, and familiarity with cloud/AI/ML capabilities; 5+ years of experience; Hong Kong-based role with in-person work expectations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of related experience
- Hands-on experience in electronic trading system or site reliability engineering
- Proficient in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes (cloud, AI, ML)
- Familiarity with electronic trading system controls
- Experience with trading platform development, pre/post-trade analysis, and algorithmic trading strategies
- Ability to lead incident response and drive root-cause analysis
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams (business, tech, onboarding, exchanges)
- Experience with risk and data considerations in trading environments
