Job Summary
Lead a high-level ERP-PLM integration initiative focusing on the Windchill PLM to SAP ERP interface. Plan and drive enhancements to the PLM–ERP interface, align technical and business requirements with customers and internal stakeholders, translate business requirements into clear technical process descriptions, implement requirements personally or hand them off to developers, test/validate/document technical solutions, support deployment and rollout, and collaborate within an agile project team. Engage with Windchill software development and SAP MM teams and an external interface solution provider to ensure smooth, reliable, and scalable PLM–ERP processes across the organization. Key technical competencies include Java and ABAP development, Tomcat deployment, Docker or Ansible, Windchill administration and data structures, REST/SOAP web services, XML/XSL, UML, Git/Azure DevOps, Linux, and middleware integration within the Windchill-SAP ecosystem. Strong teamwork, proactive communication, and independent task familiarization are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong experiences as software architect and understanding of business needs (automotive)
- Programming skills in Java (experiences 10+) and ABAP (stronger ABAP expertise is a plus)
- Experiences with deployment process for Tomcat Server
- Deeper knowledge with JAVA Docker or Ansible
- Deep technical process understanding of Windchill PLM
- Deeper knowledge of PTC ESI framework and how to use with middleware solutions
- Ability to install, configure, and administer Windchill systems
- Experience with UML
- Hands on experience with XML and XSL
- Familiarity with GIT and Azure DevOps
- Experience using Linux systems
- Understanding of data structures in Windchill and SAP
- Experience developing REST or SOAP web services
