Lead Epic Application Analyst - Cardiology & Radiology

Job Summary
Lead Epic and third-party application lifecycles for Kootenai Health, including analysis, design, implementation, and support of Epic modules and clinical workflows. Manage work assignments, prioritize tickets, and conduct peer reviews while mentoring analysts and facilitating domain governance groups. Troubleshoot medium-to-high complexity issues, lead incident and problem management, and validate data integrity and security for assigned systems. Design and execute application testing, develop system documentation, and analyze workflows to optimize clinical processes and meet safety and efficiency needs. Participate in after-hours on-call rotations and service recovery efforts as required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Nursing or a related field preferred, or equivalent education/experience required
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of analyst experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiology and/or Cardiology Information Systems preferred
- Prior lead or supervisory position preferred
- Epic certification or accredited in one or more Epic modules as assigned required
- Certification to be initiated as directed and completed within 3 months upon completion of Epic training; employee must remain current in certification or proficiency
- Other required system application certifications to complete assigned work as assigned
- Epic analyst positions supporting inpatient nursing and ambulatory clinical Epic modules and third-party applications, clinical experience is preferred
- Participates in after hours on-call, on-call rotation and service recovery efforts as required
- Advanced understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the development and deployment of application software necessary to run the healthcare systems business, clinical or financial systems
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical or business principles to evaluate information system and healthcare regulatory needs
- Knowledge of Healthcare information systems
- Must be able to lift and move up to 10 lbs
- Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height
- Must be able to maintain a sitting position
Desired Qualifications
