Job Summary
Lead Environmental Technician at a semiconductor manufacturing facility responsible for routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks, including movement/processing of waste, container handling, PPE usage, and operation of heavy equipment. Leads and coordinates team activities, maintains equipment and logs, responds to spills, interfaces with contractors, ensures regulatory compliance (RCRA/TSCA), and supports safety and housekeeping standards in a harsh industrial environment. Requires high school diploma or GED, experience with hazardous material handling, and valid driver’s license; prior heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum two years hazardous material processing and/or handling
- Minimum one year heavy equipment operation preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Trained in the use of material handling equipment
- Work in loud, cold, hot, wet and dry environments
- Successfully complete drug screen and pre-employment physical, safety sensitive background check
