Lead, Enterprise Risk Management

Lead, Enterprise Risk Management at Scout Motors to design, implement, and scale an enterprise-wide ERM framework aligned with the company’s strategy and risk profile. Responsibilities include establishing risk governance, defining risk appetite and tolerance, embedding risk considerations into strategic planning and major initiatives, monitoring mitigations, and producing forward-looking risk reporting for the Management Board and parent company. Also support the design and ongoing development of a risk-driven Internal Control System (ICS), linking risks to control objectives, embedding controls into core processes, and collaborating with Integrity & Compliance, Finance, and Internal Audit on risk-based assessment, monitoring, and remediation. Drive a strong risk and control culture, unify risk language and tools across the organization, and ensure alignment with audit activities. This role may be based in Charlotte, NC, with 4 days in the office and travel to participate in events as needed. The position requires leadership in ERM, internal controls, compliance, and governance maturation, with a focus on scalable frameworks, governance structures, and executive/Board communication. The role is full-time and exempt with base salary and bonus eligibility; initial base salary range noted as $140,000–$170,000.
