Lead Engineering Technician

Lead Engineering Technician responsible for serving as a key project team member on highway and urban roadway projects from design through construction. Independent and collaborative contribution to project plans using CADD skills, with duties including materials testing and inspection (concrete/asphalt), support to survey crews, and training junior staff. Typical tasks include detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts using MicroStation GEOPAK/Open Roads Designer and AutoCAD/Civil 3D, calculating dimensions and quantities, adhering to CADD standards, coordinating with Project Managers and Engineers, and serving as resident project representative/owner's representative during construction. Must communicate effectively with contractors and agency Project Managers, document progress, and participate in meetings and remote video conferences as required. Travel and overtime may be required; strong attention to detail, safety, and ethics are essential.
