Job Summary
Lead Engineer for TransUnion's MFT platform with responsibility for troubleshooting and resolving complex MFT infrastructure issues, managing and supporting file transfers via HTTPS, SFTP, and point-to-point protocols, performing root cause analyses, implementing preventive measures, collaborating to resolve escalations, monitoring health and performance for high availability, developing automation scripts in Shell/Perl, administering Linux-based systems, and participating in a 24x7 rotational shift. This is a hybrid role requiring in-person work at a TransUnion office at least two days per week in Bengaluru or Chennai, India. Preferred qualifications include experience with MFT tools (IBM Sterling, Secure Transport, GoAnywhere, GlobalScape) and cloud-based file transfer integrations. The role emphasizes SOP/KEDB/documentation, incident response, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of file transfer protocols (HTTPS, SFTP, point-to-point)
- Proficiency in Linux command-line operations and system administration
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Shell and/or Perl
- Experience in L2/L3 support roles, including incident triage, resolution, and RCA documentation
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy) for ticket and change management
- Willingness to work in one of three rotational shifts
