Job Summary
Lead Engineer role focusing on systems engineering for VSDS projects, performing power system studies, modeling and validation of electrical networks, grid compatibility checks, and coordination with customers/vendors to deliver technically fit solutions on time and within budget. Responsibilities include conducting ETAP/DIgSILENT/PSCAD analyses, protection and relay coordination, studying grid performance and stability, supporting renewable integration studies, ensuring compliance with standards, and leading project execution while fostering cross-functional collaboration with Platform Engineering and Supply Chain. The role requires strong technical leadership, stakeholder communication, and willingness to travel. Relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum 8+ years experience in Power Systems analysis / System engineering projects for Industry / Marine / Oil & Gas / Power domains
- Strong knowledge of power system analysis and electrical engineering fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with ETAP / DIgSILENT PowerFactory / PSCAD
- Understanding of protection systems and grid interconnection requirements
- Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, utility/grid codes
- Knowledge of Python, DPL, or other scripting tools
- Ability to interpret SLDs, relay coordination data, and equipment parameters
- Ability to adapt and multitask with project/application engineers
- Analytical and innovative problem solving; MS Office proficiency; preferred PLM, Primavera
