Job Summary
Evaluate system solutions and define behavior for TCOS and Dispatch products to ensure scalable, reliable outcomes. Triage customer-reported problems, determine severity, and perform initial investigations to reduce team investigation load. Lead backlog prioritization for TCOS Project scrum teams, decompose features into user stories with SMART acceptance criteria, and coordinate with Release Engineers to ensure sprint planning readiness. Engage frequently with development teams to facilitate discussions, provide clarification, and validate testing while managing content plans and execution status for the customer. Establish seamless integration with Cyber Security and Compliance teams and drive buy-vs-build recommendations based on market trends.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of system engineering to evaluate different solutions and choose the best path forward
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) status for the TCOS and Dispatch product line
- Ability to clearly explain and define system behavior to the customer and development teams
- Expert level skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity
- Ability to engage frequently (80%) with the development team
- Ability to demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Knowledge of latest industry trends
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in 'STEM' Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- A minimum of 5-6 years of professional experience in System Engineer or equivalent Role
- Eligibility to work out of an office located in Bangalore, IN
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in decomposing requirements into robust Agile based Features and User Stories
- Ability to translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories
- Ability to understand the technology stack and its impact on the final product
- Capability to efficiently conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate on personas
- Experience with Rally, Jira, or other defect/work tracking tools
- Capability to generate Agile metrics reports (burn-up, burn-down, velocity, etc.) and interpret the results for larger audiences
- Superior knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Strong collaboration history with Quality Engineering and Dev Ops teams
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Capability to articulate specific technical topics or assignments to others
- Ability to break down complex problems and estimate level of effort
- Demonstrated initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
- Skill in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
- Ability to analyze impact of technology choices
- Knowledge of technologies in the market to help make buy vs build recommendations
- Ability to drive market timing decisions
