Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for SoCs/ASICs, including bootloaders, BSPs, device drivers, and Hardware Abstraction Layers. Support silicon and board bring-up, hardware validation, and debugging using JTAG, GDB, and logic analyzers. Optimize firmware for performance, power, memory, and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams on pre-silicon enablement and post-silicon deployment. Mentor junior engineers and utilize AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 6–10+ years of embedded firmware/software development experience
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C and Python
- Experience with bootloaders, BSPs, device drivers, HAL, and RTOS (FreeRTOS/Zephyr)
- Knowledge of ARM/RISC-V architectures and interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and Ethernet
- Strong debugging skills using JTAG, GDB, Lauterbach, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- Experience with silicon/board bring-up and hardware-software integration
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with simulation, emulation, or FPGA-based development
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and AI-powered development tools
- Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) powered tools and technologies used to enhance productivity, analysis, and decision-making
