Job Summary
Deliver product performance technologies by breaking down complex systems into manageable requirements and defining verifiable specifications. Resolve technical failures through investigative experiments, simulation, and root cause analysis using Matlab, Minitab, Excel, and Python. Collaborate across diverse stakeholders to balance performance factors like flowrate, acoustics, and thermals while influencing optimal trade-offs. Plan and prioritize tasks to drive coherent requirement definition and ensure robust test methodologies for timely solution delivery. Coach less experienced engineers and document work to support future reference and team capability growth.
Required Qualifications
- At least a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 8 years of experience in mechanical product design & development
- system engineering in the field of fluid dynamics
- In-depth knowledge & experience of experimental methodologies & techniques for core discipline
- Competent in the use and application of CAD/CAE tools in general
- Experience in the UG and ANSYS suite of products
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to clearly, concisely & confidently present & articulate ideas to larger cross-category groups from a variety of areas, often with Management attendees
- Proficient in clear, concise communication of ideas & concepts
- frequently tailoring communication to suit different levels
- Developed ability to persuade & influence others when appropriate
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to receive constructive feedback and coaching and respond appropriately
- Able to coach less experienced engineers
