Job Summary
Lead Engineer (P2) in a Hybrid role focused on global chemical and environmental regulatory compliance. Manages regulatory compliance projects, interprets complex chemical regulations (REACH, CLP, GHS, RoHS, TSCA), coordinates with design teams for material selection and MOC validation, identifies regulatory risks and develops mitigation plans, validates alternative materials for REACH, collaborates with customers to address regulatory queries, and leads sustainable material transition roadmaps. Requires 4–6 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Material, or Metallurgical Engineering, and hands-on knowledge of global chemical regulatory frameworks, electronics materials, CAD tools (CATIA, UG NX), and regulatory documentation practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Material, or Metallurgical Engineering
- 4 to 6 years of work experience
- Strong understanding of global chemical regulatory frameworks (REACH, CLP, GHS, RoHS, TSCA)
- Knowledge of digital tools e.g., CDX, SAP EHSM, Sphera or similar
- Experience with materials testing, data analysis, and failure analysis techniques
- Experience with electronics manufacturing and related standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-2221, MIL-STD-883, SAE, ASTM)
- Proficiency in interpreting regulations and providing regulatory documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
