Job Summary
Design transmission structures and power lines for high voltage applications, preparing and reviewing technical specifications and drawings. Conduct engineering analysis and simulations, perform independent reviews of calculations and PLS-CADD models, and ensure compliance with codes such as NESC and IEEE. Provide support during construction and commissioning, interface with clients and contractors, and mentor lower-level engineers. Perform field work as required and collaborate with project managers to meet goals. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in transmission line design for high voltage applications
- PE License
- Strong knowledge of structural design and analysis principles and tools
- Strong working knowledge of foundation design and analysis
- Proficiency in engineering software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, FAD Tools, and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as NESC, ASCE, ACI, RUS, IEC, and IEEE
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong desire to mentor, train and lead next generation of engineers
