Lead Engineer (Night) – Critical Environments

Job Summary
Supervise and direct maintenance staff on night shifts, overseeing all building systems operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and emergency backup systems. Perform preventative maintenance scheduling, equipment troubleshooting, and coordinate contracted work to ensure minimal disruption to building services. Train team members in safety protocols and equipment operation, manage inventory and engineering logs, and monitor equipment performance to achieve 100% uptime goals. Assume Chief Engineer responsibilities if absent and ensure compliance with hazardous materials and Critical Facility Work Authorization processes. Assist with KPI implementation while protecting client asset value.
Required Qualifications
- Must have hands-on experience in a data center/critical facility, including UPS Systems, emergency generators, and switch-gear
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 5+ years related work experience, including supervisory experience
- Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent
- Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC's (or within 90 days of employment)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to work different schedules
- Must be able to work Holidays
- Must be able to respond to site emergencies
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Corrigo, MCIM / Salesforce, Zendesk or Service Now Experience
- Universal EPA 608 certification
- Trained in NFPA70E
