Job Summary
Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards and product requirements. Utilize in-depth knowledge of mechanical disciplines to propose different solutions for complicated manufacturing processes and address interdependent production cycles. Act as a resource for colleagues, lead small low-risk projects, and develop team consensus on technical topics while conveying performance expectations. This role supports GE Aerospace's indigenous programs, new engine initiatives, and software development within the Türkiye Technology Center. The position requires a BSc/MSc in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with at least five years of component design experience and proficiency in CAD modeling and simulation tools.
Required Qualifications
- BSc and/or MSc in Mechanical or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical component design engineering
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated skills, familiarity or ability to learn CAD modelling and simulation tools
- Strong cross-functional teaming, coordination and communication skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter who is passionate about inventing the next generation of aviation technology
- Demonstrated accountability, ownership skills and diligence in meeting commitments within tight and fluctuation schedules
- Ability to guide and influence others
Desired Qualifications
- Mechanical design experience in relevant industry positions (aviation, defense, automotive, energy, home appliances, etc)
- Knowledge of different engine platforms and architectures, able to make meaningful benchmarking to leverage
