Job Summary

Lead the development, procurement, and implementation of standard or new automation solutions to support customer product manufacturing equipment needs. Plan hardware and software improvements for automated lines by analyzing Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) data, while owning communications with solution providers on design and specifications. Lead complex technical problem-solving and equipment validation activities including Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT). Develop maintenance plans to achieve target performance and drive corrective actions for machine failures, speed loss, or quality issues. Collaborate with Process Engineering to ensure equipment statistical capability for product manufacturing requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Occasional travel
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience
  • Experience in similar job roles
  • Lead the development, procurement and implementation off the shelf standard solutions and/or develop new standard automation solutions to support customer product manufacturing equipment needs
  • Plan and lead the hardware and software improvements of automated lines and off the shelf equipment, via the analysis of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and other available data
  • Own the communications with multiple stakeholders including solution providers for design, technical information and specifications
  • Lead and solve complex technical problems and lead the equipment validation activities such as Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
  • Develop maintenance plans and oversee and/or execute activities to achieve target performance
  • Be accountable for the performance, maintenance, and OEE improvements for multiple machines within a value stream
  • Support customer product road map using Celestica Automation E2E process and tools such as User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Design for Automation Assembly (DFAA) and PM workbook
  • Drive problem solving and corrective actions related to causes of machine failures, speed loss or quality issues
  • Work with Process Engineering to ensure equipment is statistically capable of meeting the product manufacturing requirements
