Job Summary
Lead Engineer responsible for understanding client/domain requirements to deliver high-quality software using established engineering principles and a proprietary Majesco toolkit. Responsibilities include designing scalable solutions, developing APIs/interfaces, and ensuring deployment through CI/CD pipelines; driving conversations with stakeholders to meet business objectives; supporting issue analysis, testing, and production fixes to meet product SLAs; estimating effort and delivering on timelines; and developing new APIs/interfaces with attention to automation, reusability, maintainability, and secure coding. Requires collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, 5+ years of Java experience, REST/SOAP, frontend skills (HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript), SVN and build tools, and leadership/design capabilities (JB4). Remote India working arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in programming language(s) Java technologies
- PL-SQL/ SQL and web services software architecture and design (REST/SOAP)
- Experience on frontend frameworks like HTML5 and CSS3 and Web Standards and JavaScript
- Experience in source configuration tools like SVN and build creation tools
- For JB4 – Experience as Tech Lead & Designing skills
- For Billing - Prior knowledge on similar industry products like Duck Creek/Guidewire is preferred
- For DM – Prior knowledge in Broker/Channel Management/commission processing is preferred.
- Experience implementing North American Life & Annuity products is a plus
- Knowledge of Group and Individual North American L&A markets a plus
- Experience with SAFe Agile Development practices and processes. SAFe Practitioner certification preferred.
