Job Summary
Lead Engineer- Integrated Plant Design is responsible for overall product, system, and component integration activities to deliver the best product for the user. The role requires facilitating and driving interfaces between multiple areas of the organization (Project, Product, Engineering, Sales, Licensing, etc.), applying system requirements and plant-level specifications, and ensuring design requirements flow down. The position may lead small projects with low risks and resource needs, acts as a resource for less-experienced colleagues, and uses judgment to propose solutions outside set parameters. Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and knowledge of nuclear power practices (notably BWRX-300) are emphasized, along with experience in a regulated environment, quality standards, and matrix-team delivery. The role requires knowledge of how different areas integrate, ability to work under tight deadlines, and familiarity with export-controlled information and related compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering capacity
- Eligibility to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
- Willingness to work at GVH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC, or Atlanta, GA
- US legal authorization to work without sponsorship for this opening
