Lead Engineer- Hardware Work Package Management

Job Summary
Lead technical and industrial work packages for RADARs and defense products, ensuring schedule, cost, and quality targets are met. Conduct trade analysis of design and industrial approaches to guarantee product maturity. Plan and pilot development activities across all phases, from requirements to prototype manufacturing and testing. Control project milestones, anticipate drifts, and propose rallying actions to maintain progress. Manage sub-project reviews in liaison with other managers and report work package status to the project management team. Monitor risks and opportunities while promoting a competitive approach throughout the development cycle using Design to Cost tools. Lead complex topics within a multidisciplinary team of analysis, electronics, mechanical, system, supply chain, and manufacturing experts.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech in General engineering or equivalent
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience
- Must have strong experience in HW development work package, including all development phases (requirements, preliminary and detailed design, prototype manufacturing and test, ...)
- Must have gained experience in piloting a lot of development work
- Must have experience to plan the activities and guarantee the good realization
- Must have experience to control the holding of project milestones and anticipate drifting
- Must have experience to propose and set up rallying actions in case of drifting
- Must have experience to manage the progress reviews of the sub-projects of the project, in liaison with the other managers of work packages
- Must have experience to ensure the reporting of the work package to the project management team
- Must have experience to manage risks and opportunities
- Must be rigorous, organized, autonomous and proactive, and motivated by a position within a multidisciplinary team
- Must have demonstrated leadership skills on complex topics
- Must have good synthesis skills
- Must have experience of working with multi-disciplinary team (Analysis team, Electronics and Mechanical design, System engineering teams, supply chain and manufacturing teams, ...)
- Should have an understanding and use of Design to Cost tools
Desired Qualifications
- Higher qualifications of Post-graduation
- PMI certification
- Working experience in RADARs, Avionics and Defense systems design
- Must have experience to ensure the promotion of a competitive approach throughout the development cycle
