Job Summary
Lead Engineer responsible for overseeing the engineering design process from concept through production. Leads cross-functional technical development (mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, manufacturing) to ensure designs meet intent, performance, manufacturability, cost, and quality standards. Provides technical direction, reviews and approves designs, and coordinates validation and test activities while collaborating with operations and quality teams to ensure a smooth transition into full production. Manages scheduling and training of other engineers, drives standardized designs and processes to improve efficiency, and performs design calculations as needed. Located in Fontana, CA with relocation eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
- At least 7 years of relevant work experience in engineering; experience in full product lifecycle development is a plus.
- Strong understanding of design principles and manufacturing processes with engineering knowledge of common materials and methods of fabrication.
- Experience coordinating and leading cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate in team environments.
