Job Summary

Lead Mechanical Structures RCA Leader responsible for root cause analysis of rotor-related issues (hub, pitch bearing), bolted joints, and tower structures across onshore/offshore wind fleets. Own RCA from technical and process perspectives, drive containment, corrective actions, and systematic improvements using Lean, 8D, Shainin, and Six Sigma. Partner with Design Engineering, Sourcing, Parts, Services, Warranty, and Global Fleet Performance, mentoring junior team members, managing cost of quality, and ensuring timely resolution of high-priority issues. Drive cross-functional initiatives, communicate progress to senior leadership, and support PAC/SAFER actions. Requires strong RCA expertise, ability to travel 10%, and willingness to climb wind turbines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in wind industry preferred
  • Root Cause Analysis training or certification (8-D, Apollo, Shainin or similar)
  • Proven RCA technical expertise and project closure
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time and to climb wind turbines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, and quality concepts
  • Prior team management experience or leadership ability
