Job Summary
Lead Engineer for Embedded Software focusing on firmware design and development for next-generation graphical display controllers used in refrigeration systems. The role emphasizes end-to-end embedded product development, from conceptualization through field deployment and support, with hands-on work on 16/32-bit microcontrollers, RTOS-based architectures, and a broad set of peripherals. Candidates should demonstrate expertise across embedded applications, device drivers, secure boot and bootloaders, hardware bring-up, and integration with cloud/IoT systems. The position requires strong C/C++ programming skills, experience with CAN/RS232/SPI/I2C and graphics LCD drivers, and the ability to design, document, and maintain embedded software systems within a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools (Model-Based Design, MATLAB/Simulink), scripting (Python and shell), and open-source build environments is valued. A collaborative, proactive, and self-driven mindset with a track record of delivering robust firmware for complex embedded platforms is desired.
Required Qualifications
- Embedded systems expertise across product development lifecycle
- RTOS-based system design
- C/C++ programming proficiency
- Experience with CAN, RS232, SPI, I2C, Timers, Graphics LCD, EEPROM and Flash drivers
- Board bring-up activities including Bare Metal Secure Boot/U-Boot and Root filesystem
- External peripheral interfacing
- Architecture, design, and documentation of embedded software systems
- Experience with peripherals and software-hw integration
- Exposure to DSP interfaces and Cloud/IoT integration
- Model-Based Design approaches (MBE)
- Knowledge of Python or other high-level languages and middleware
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to new tools/frameworks
- Ethics and professional conduct
