Job Summary
Design, build, and lead embedded systems development from concept through production release, developing and debugging firmware for platforms like Raspberry Pi while driving designs through DFM/DFT and production readiness. Set technical direction for the hardware/firmware stack and mentor team members, collaborating cross-functionally to integrate the device into the broader Archer ecosystem. Take systems from prototype to shipped, flight-relevant products within our all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft program.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi and other embedded systems platforms
- Demonstrated PCB design experience (schematic capture, layout, and bring-up)
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools for mechanical/enclosure design
- Has taken at least one embedded system from prototype through production
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to architect and lay out PCBs, including schematic capture, component selection, and bring-up/debug of prototype boards
- Ability to produce 3D CAD models for enclosures, mounts, and mechanical integration of embedded hardware
- Background in aerospace, robotics, or other safety-critical embedded domains
