Job Summary
Lead Engineer directs the Operations Site Team and Vendors to ensure the Data Center is operated and maintained safely, within SLA, and with minimal risk. The role manages day-to-day activities, coordinates incident and maintenance tasks using CMMS, ensures safety/regulatory compliance, handles issue responses with Site Engineers and third-party specialists, oversees contractor inductions and minor works, and provides support to Data Center and Site Management teams. Requires strong experience in mission-critical mechanical & electrical environments, data-center familiarity, knowledge of DC infrastructure components (UPS, Generators, Cooling), formal electrical training, ITIL/ServiceNow preference, and proven communication and decision-making skills. Location: Woking, Surrey, United Kingdom (on-site).
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in mission-critical mechanical & electrical environments
- Experience in data centers or a similar environment is essential
- Knowledge of UPS, Generators, and Cooling systems
- Recognized formal electrical training (City and Guilds etc.)
- Experience and knowledge of operation of critical building infrastructure (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Fabric)
