Job Summary
Lead Engineer, Controls responsible for serving as the remote technical lead for controls-related troubleshooting across global BESS assets, diagnosing and resolving issues with BMS, PCS/Inverters, HVAC, SCADA, and communication pathways; supporting field engineers during commissioning and service activities; interfacing with clients, TSOs, subcontractors, and engineering teams for controls compliance and system performance; developing and testing controls applications and algorithms, creating FAT/SAT procedures, and maintaining thorough controls documentation. Requires strong controls development and debugging skills, experience with SCADA protocols and grid codes, proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, Git/GitHub, IEC/Modbus protocols, and the ability to work in rotational shifts with global teams; based in Bangalore, India.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer / industrial engineering with focus on automation and controls (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant Controls/Software/programming experience with a power utility or related industry and the design, operation and maintenance of a power plant
- Hands-on experience with controls logic, SCADA protocols, utility grid codes, and HV equipment
- Experience with commissioning, FAT/SAT, or system testing
- Good communication skills
- Fluency in English; German or other language skills desired
