Job Summary
The Lead Engineer – Control & Protection will design, implement, and optimize protection relay systems for EHV/HV substations, focusing on safety, quality, cost, and time delivery. Responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings, reviewing substation automation systems, performing sizing calculations for transformers, and managing various engineering activities related to substation equipment and auxiliary systems. The role requires strong technical expertise in substation protection systems and project management to coordinate with global engineering teams and ensure project requirements are met.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering
- 8+ years of experience in substation protection relay systems
- Experience in EPC environments with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience of secondary engineering up to 765kV, 400kV, and HVDC Substations
- Relay Testing, Equipment Testing, Control / Protection scheme testing & SAS Commissioning experience

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and supervision skills
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Fluent in English; additional foreign language is a plus
- Proven technical leadership in a complex system engineering development environment
