Job Summary
Lead Engineer- Control & Protection role focusing on design and delivery of HVDC control and protection functions. Responsible for defining control system requirements, converting MATLAB/Simulink algorithms to PSCAD, leading technical design reviews, mentoring team members, and supporting tendering, operations, contractual and after-sales needs. Requires hands-on experience with PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, dynamic performance studies, and plant-model verification across the full delivery lifecycle; extensive interaction with clients to respond to technical queries and ensure compliant, reliable solutions. Will mentor others, drive process improvements, and collaborate across projects globally; willingness to travel. Relocation assistance provided. Locations: Noida and Pallavaram, India.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent with power systems and power electronics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand customer requirements and develop client relationships
- Experience with PSCAD and MATLAB-SIMULINK simulation tools
- Ability to work to deadlines and travel globally
- Relevant experience in HVDC control, protection and sequencing strategies
- Knowledge of HVDC systems interactions with AC and HVDC networks
