Lead Engineer - Civil

Job Summary
Lead civil engineering scope for Waste-to-X projects within a civil consortium or EPC civil works package; coordinate civil design interfaces with consortium partners, subcontractors, internal engineering teams, clients, and authorities; manage design activities during procurement and execution phases for civil, structural, geotechnical, architectural, and infrastructure packages; ensure smooth collaboration between civil engineering disciplines and project stakeholders; support preparation of civil procurement packages, including technical and commercial contract requirements; assist in contractor negotiations and respond to technical queries during procurement and project execution; report project progress to project management and operations teams while supporting claim management activities; travel up to 10% as required for project coordination and execution; requires 5+ years of EPC/construction experience; BIM/tools expertise; international, multilingual team experience; remote/hybrid collaboration; attractive employment conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in EPC, construction, or large industrial projects as a Design Engineer
- Proven project management capabilities; PM certifications are an advantage
- Strong knowledge of international civil engineering design and construction codes and standards
- Experience with structural design software and 3D BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks
- Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English, French, German or any additional languages are a plus
- Ability to travel up to 10% for project coordination and execution
