Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer to design, implement, and evolve Bluetooth stack features for Classic and BLE, with technical ownership of key stack areas. Drive architecture and technical direction for Bluetooth stack subsystems, implement and enhance features and profiles (GATT, GAP, L2CAP, SMP, HFP, LE Audio), and lead issue resolution across interoperability and customer-facing scenarios. Mentor engineers, perform design and code reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams (controller, systems, validation, product management), and promote a modern development mindset including AI-assisted tooling to improve productivity and software quality. The role requires strong embedded C/C++, deep Bluetooth protocol knowledge, experience leading complex initiatives, and a track record of delivering production-ready embedded software. Education and experience include a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 6+ years in embedded or wireless software development, with demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 6+ years of experience in embedded or wireless software development
- Significant experience in Bluetooth Classic and/or Bluetooth Low Energy protocol stack development
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives and mentoring engineers
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
- Familiarity with RTOS-based systems and multi-threaded embedded software
- Understanding of Bluetooth protocol stack components (GATT, GAP, L2CAP, SMP) and related profiles (HFP, LE Audio)
- Experience with debugging across protocol, firmware, and system layers
- Experience in architecture ownership and cross-functional collaboration
- Awareness of power, memory, and scalability considerations in embedded systems
- Experience with AI concepts/tools to improve productivity
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with Bluetooth qualification and interoperability testing
