Job Summary
Lead Engineer to manage a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and support staff on municipal projects from planning through construction. Responsibilities include independent project management, collaborative design development, mentoring, and contributing to proposals and business development. Travel and occasional overtime during construction season are required. Requires a BS in Civil Engineering, PE license preferred or obtainable within 6-12 months, and 7+ years of municipal civil engineering experience. Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil-3D and related GIS/tools is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- Master’s degree a plus
- Professional Engineers License preferred or ability to be licensed within 6-12 months
- 7+ years of experience in municipal Civil Engineering
- Experience with civil design drawings, specifications, and opinions of cost related to water/sewer utilities, roadways, drainage (preferred)
- Experience with local/county/state agencies (a plus)
- Strong project management skills and construction management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows/Office
