Lead Engineer (AI/Python)

Job Summary
Lead technical leadership and mentoring for an engineering team focused on Generative AI and Python/Java product development. Write, review, and maintain code while designing solutions that align with best practices and project goals. Investigate and apply Generative AI methodologies to specific business needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine optimal applications. Spearhead the implementation of Cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform and Vertex AI, guiding the full lifecycle from initial design to production deployment. Stay abreast of emerging technologies to evolve team capabilities and foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation. Work closely with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to develop and deploy products built around Large Language Models.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical leadership
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in software development
- Strong focus on Python
- Strong focus on Cloud solutions
- Strong focus on development-to-production lifecycle
- Proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Proficient in Vertex AI
- Hands-on experience in data analytics
- Experience in building/deploying machine learning models
- Passion for learning and applying new technologies
