Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve acoustic and vibration issues using signal analysis, noise source identification, and transfer path techniques. Develop and implement experimental and simulation-based approaches including FEA, CFD, and system modelling to ensure reliable product delivery. Define, capture, and manage acoustics requirements and validation strategies while identifying and mitigating technical risks early. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate acoustic solutions and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Own the development and delivery of acoustic and vibration performance throughout the product development lifecycle, applying Dyson methodologies to deliver solutions on time, on specification, on cost, and on quality.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics engineering or similar
- Proven experience in product development with strong analytical focus
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems and failure analysis
- Experience in signal processing and vibration analysis (FFT, FRF, spectrogram, waterfall, etc)
- Drive, enthusiasm, self-motivation and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in acoustics techniques such as TPA, ODS, noise localisation, psychoacoustics
- Experience with simulation tools (FEA, CFD, or system modelling)
- Understanding of statistical methods/ Six Sigma tools
