Job Summary
Lead Engineer at Fairmont Grand Del Mar responsible for maintaining and repairing hotel facilities across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, spa, pool, kitchen and laundry systems. Tasks include repairing and inspecting equipment per blueprints, manuals, and building codes; measuring, cutting and installing pipes and tubing; replacing gauges, valves and filters; installing electrical equipment and wiring; carpentry and painting as needed; conducting tests, and ensuring safety and emergency procedures. Requires minimum five years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a Trade School Certificate in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing. Proficient in English; some Spanish preferred. Familiarity with preventive maintenance software and handheld communications devices. Supervisory duties include preparing reports and maintaining organized work areas. Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with physical demands typical of skilled trades.
Required Qualifications
