Job Summary
Lead Engineer responsible for reliability analysis, data management and automation to support RAM and service contracts. Will develop statistical models, automate analyses, interpret data quality, and collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Product Lines, Design Engineering, and Services to enhance reliability and lifetime service provisions. Will lead QA for RAM deck capabilities, work with multinational teams in the US and Europe, and contribute to understanding long-term service contracts and data flows. Requires a Bachelor's in mechanical/electrical/software engineering and 2+ years in engineering/analytics, plus programming aptitude (Python/SQL/JMP/JSL/C/C++, etc.) and experience with Agile development; preference for a Master’s degree and higher-level certifications. The role involves building software to automate repetitive analyses, interfacing with RAM data teams, and supporting technical risk input for contractual RAM guarantees. Relocation not required; offers a comprehensive benefits package and potential geographic pay differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 2 years in engineering, statistics or analytics/software development
- For Mechanical/Electrical Engineers: Experience with basic computer programming and willingness to improve/grow
- For Software Engineers: Basic experience with mechanical and/or electrical industrial scale hardware and willingness to learn
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering (preferred)
- Prior experience in SQL, Python, JMP/JSL, MS Office VBA, C++, C#, R, GitHub
- Advanced experience in Agile software development
- Reliability Practitioner Program Certified (RPP) (GE Employees only)
- GE Analytics Program Certification
- Self-starter able to develop, document, and execute analysis with limited supervision
- Engineering experience in gas power equipment
- Experience working with globally based technical team
- Experience working in cross-functional organization (Sales, Risk, Engineering, Digital)
- Working knowledge of sales and execution of long term service contract processes
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
