Job Summary
Lead technical evaluations, system design reviews, and engineering due diligence for utility-scale and distributed battery energy storage projects; serve as Nexamp’s internal SME on energy storage safety, fire protection, and code compliance (NFPA 855, NEC) with familiarity with UL standards; evaluate vendor qualifications (cell chemistry, BMS, PCS, thermal management) and support procurement through product specification reviews, factory audits, and performance evaluations; validate energy storage architectures, electrical integration, and safety documentation from OEMs/integrators; provide risk assessments on system reliability, degradation, augmentation planning, and long-term asset management; support cross-functional teams with technical presentations, root-cause analysis, and development of internal engineering standards and processes related to energy storage technologies and deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related engineering discipline required.
