Lead, Employment Consultant

Lead, Employment Consultant serves as a coach and vocational-support professional for individuals with IDD, guiding them through job seeking, onboarding, and ongoing training while managing documentation, compliance, and employer relationships. The role drives expansion plans for the office’s Jobs program, secures funding opportunities, and acts as the main point of contact for funding agencies and employer partners across Maryland (with a focus on Montgomery County). Responsibilities include person-centered job search support, developing employer partnerships, facilitating orientation and early training, maintaining progress documentation, coordinating travel training and transportation support, and ensuring inclusion and advocacy within the workplace. The position requires collaboration across marketing, fundraising, and operations, and involves traveling within the local area to support program goals and events. Competencies include public speaking, presentation delivery, written communication, program management (SETWorks), and the ability to navigate Social Security work incentives guidance.
