Job Summary
Lead sub-system electrical embedded hardware development for solid-state/power-electronic based circuit breakers. Responsibilities include conducting circuit simulation to verify operation and boundary conditions, developing product technical requirements with marketing/applications teams, coordinating PCBA layouts, specifying/testing at PCB/component/system levels, ensuring regulatory/compliance alignment, leading design reviews, and planning detailed work with cross-functional teams. The role requires deep experience with embedded hardware design, analog/digital circuitry, and power electronics; proficiency with Altium and bus communications (USB, Modbus, CAN, Ethernet); embedded firmware experience (ARM Cortex, PIC); and hands-on lab work (oscilloscopes, power supplies). Collaboration with ERL and external resources, participation in design reviews, and contribution to IP generation are key aspects. The position offers relocation assistance within the US/PR, a hybrid onsite/remote work model (3 onsite/2 remote), and a salary range of $105,000–$154,000 annually. Education and experience requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years in embedded hardware development, with preferred Master’s degree and experience in power-electronics design, RTOS, device drivers, and production-transition familiarity.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience developing embedded hardware for electronic devices
- Experience developing circuit schematics and conducting electronic simulation
- Experience working with oscilloscopes and power supplies to verify circuit performance
- Willingness to relocate to Moon Township, PA (onsite with hybrid option)
