Job Summary
Lead ESS Installation Technician to install, troubleshoot, and support integrated electronic security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection) across national projects. Lead installation activities, install/terminate copper and fiber cabling, configure security networks, and set up servers/workstations. Conduct system commissioning, functional testing, and QA inspections. Create installation documentation and test reports. Coordinate with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure on-time, safe, and quality project execution. Bring 3+ years of low-voltage security experience, AMAG Symmetry certifications, strong networking and wiring knowledge, construction-site coordination, and leadership potential. Travel ~50%. Requires valid driver's license, ability to obtain federal security clearance, and compliant with DMV/drug screening and background checks. Preferred experience with IESS, federal projects, military leadership, and additional security/networking certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent technical training
- Minimum 3 years of experience installing low-voltage systems including Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, and structured cabling
- Experience installing and terminating copper and fiber-optic cabling systems
- AMAG Symmetry Access Control Essentials Certification
- AMAG Symmetry End User System Manager Training
- Knowledge of low-voltage electronics, wiring methods, and industry color standards
- Understanding of electrical components, power supplies, and system connectivity
- Experience working on construction sites and coordinating with multiple trades
- Familiarity with electrical and communications testing equipment
- Understanding of basic networking principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel approximately 50%
- Ability to pass DMV, drug screening, and background verification requirements
- Ability to obtain a federal government security clearance
