Job Summary
Design and layout high-voltage (HV) and HVDC substations, ensuring compliance with global and local standards and industry regulations. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for efficient layout implementation, develop comprehensive design specifications, and manage engineering subcontractors for specific work packages. Support procurement activities, manage project strategies and risks, and facilitate effective design processes through streamlined documentation management. Collaborate with construction teams to incorporate design insights for enhanced project outcomes and ensure smooth site erection while capitalizing on lessons learned. Manage customer relationships to support successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Experience in the design of HV substations, HVDC Substation, including layout design and component selection
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software Autodesk CAD tools, Revit, BIM360, ACC and substation design tools is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of HV substation design principles, industry standards, and regulations
- Familiarity with protection and control systems is advantageous
- Proficiency in using design and simulation, calculation software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Professional engineering certification or licensure is preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
