Job Summary

Lead Electromagnetic Effects (EME) Engineering analysis and tasks for Military and Commercial Aircraft, including requirements definition, design support, integration, and testing. Manage task budgets and schedules while leading teams to deliver EME design support for lightning, grounding, bonding, shielding, EMI, EMC, EMP, and antenna analyses per MIL-STD-464. Generate professional EME test procedures and reports, present findings to stakeholders, and ensure compliance with standards such as MIL-STD-461/RTCA DO-160. Work on and around aircraft with flexibility for overtime and travel for testing.

  • Bachelors degree in related discipline (EME or RF Engineering)
  • minimum of 9 years related experience in aircraft/aerospace industry, commercial or military
  • Masters degree with 7 years relevant experience
  • Competent working knowledge of EME modelling tools such as FEKO, HFSS, Antenna Magus, CST Studio
  • Compliance for EME per MIL-STD-464 and MIL-STD-461/RTCA DO-160
  • Ability to work on and around aircraft
  • able to travel for testing if necessary
  • Flexibility to work overtime on occasion

Desired Qualifications

  • Mid-level knowledge of these tools AutoCAD, MATLAB, MathCAD, Teamcenter United
  • Good communicator and ability to generate professional EME test procedures/reports
  • Competent in standard MS Office software tools (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Strong background in one or more of the following areas iNARTE Certified EMC Engineer certification beneficial
  • Working knowledge and design for control of EMI and/or TEMPEST (preventing compromise of classified signals/data)
  • Design for prevention of system upset from EMP
  • Familiarity with EM spectrum supportability and processes associated with obtaining RFA (Radio Frequency Authorization)
