Job Summary
Oversee electrical maintenance, repairs, installations, testing, and troubleshooting activities within a mission-critical facility environment. Supervise and mentor electricians and contractors to ensure high-quality work practices while maintaining compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and LOTO standards. Lead preventive maintenance planning, CMMS documentation, and complex project coordination including material procurement and commissioning. Diagnose root causes of equipment failures to minimize downtime and manage emergency response for critical systems such as switchgear, transformers, and generators. Requires a Journeyman or Master Electrician license, 5+ years of industrial experience, and ability to work in heights and confined spaces. On-site role in East Syracuse, NY; no visa sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Electrician License
- 5+ years of industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or facilities electrical experience
- Prior lead or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, electrical testing, switching practices, and LOTO procedures
- Experience with 480V systems, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, generators, ATS, UPS, and power distribution systems
- Strong troubleshooting, leadership, communication, planning, and documentation skills
- Ability to work in industrial environments, including heights, confined spaces, and controlled work areas as needed
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting mission-critical, life sciences, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or large industrial facilities, including electrical distribution, emergency power systems, commissioning, and utility infrastructure
- Medium-Voltage (MV) and High-Voltage (HV) switching or substation experience
- Journeyman or Master Electrician License (preferred/required based on site requirements)
- Prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred
