Job Summary
Lead electrical installation work on residential new-construction projects, coordinating daily field activities and providing direction to electricians and helpers. Review blueprints, floor plans, specifications, and project markups to complete pre-wire, rough-in, trim-out, and final installation of lighting, switches, panels, and circuit breakers. Connect wiring within circuits and distribution systems while ensuring component compatibility, identifying jobsite needs and installation conflicts. Troubleshoot electrical systems, perform general maintenance, and coordinate with builders, project managers, inspectors, and other trades to maintain high standards for workmanship and safety. Help train and develop less-experienced team members.
Required Qualifications
- Proven professional experience as a residential electrician
- Experience with residential new construction, preferably custom or high-end homes
- Ability to lead fieldwork and provide clear direction to other team members
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, specifications, and markups
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, safety practices, codes, and jobsite procedures
- Proficiency with electrical testing equipment, power tools, and hand tools, including drills, wire strippers, and voltmeters
- Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with clients, builders, inspectors, and coworkers
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Commitment to producing clean, accurate, and complete work
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check
