Job Summary
Lead Electrical Operations Engineer at Mesa, AZ responsible for overseeing critical electrical infrastructure in a hyperscale data center campus. Duties include operating MV switchboards, transformers, generators, ATS/STS, UPS, PDUs, and RPPs; identifying and resolving issues via RCA/remediation; coordinating maintenance, customer requests, and on-site subcontractors; developing and executing MOPs; ensuring accurate ticketing, work orders, and reporting; and collaborating with regional teams. Requires extensive data center electrical infrastructure experience, leadership of a technical team, and strong communication skills, with travel ~10% and an onsite requirement.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing data center electrical infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience managing a team of service technicians focused in electrical infrastructure
- Strong knowledge and experience with MV switchboards, transformers, generators, ATS/STS, UPS, PDU, RPP
- Ability to read and assess single line diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering plans
- Experience performing RCA and remediation
- Experience with MOP/EOP/SOP
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) across local and regional teams
- Ability to prioritize, meet timelines, and coordinate with multiple disciplines
- Willingness to travel approximately 10%
- Experience in pre-deployment phases of a data center would be a plus
- Hyperscale data center experience encouraged
