Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, while diagnosing issues involving PLCs, DCS systems, and industrial equipment. Calibrate and maintain instrumentation to ensure accuracy, then lead daily activities for junior technicians by prioritizing tasks, planning work scopes, and mentoring on safe practices. Coordinate technical work orders, documentation, and reporting through internal systems while responding to equipment issues and supporting emergency repairs. Ensure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations. Work a Monday through Friday day shift with consistent overtime and participate in a rotating on-call schedule including weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of experience as an E&I technician or industrial electrician
- Experience working with PLC and DCS systems for troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Experience with instrumentation calibration and repair, including sensors, probes, meters, and control components
- Familiarity with industrial equipment such as conveyors, boilers, motors, and auxiliary systems
- Experience working with pneumatic and digital instrumentation systems
- Must be able to work a Monday through Friday day shift schedule with consistent overtime as needed
- Must be available to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including occasional weekend coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a lead or senior technician role preferred
- Experience with CEMS and/or SCADA systems
- Experience working with Bailey DCS systems
- Electrical licensing or relevant certifications
