Job Summary
As the Lead Electrical Engineer, responsibilities include design and review of HV power lines and substations, calculation of induced voltages, and preparing specifications for HV power systems. Candidates should possess strong technical skills and experience in high voltage engineering, including performing calculations related to underground cables and magnetic field effects. Applicants need a minimum of a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with 15 to 20 years of relevant experience and at least 3 years in consulting. Experience with tools like COMSOL and PSCAD is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master/Bachelor of Electrical Engineering preferably high voltage engineering from recognized University
- 15 to 20 years in High voltage design and planning activities
- At least 3 years in a consulting firm
- Experienced in preparing technical specifications, design calculations, preparation of reports, and drawings for HV power systems
- Experienced in grounding / earthing, lightning protection
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in working on US and European projects
- Completed at least one substation project including HV side and GIS / AIS switchboards
- Excellent in English skills oral and written
- Skilled user of Microsoft office – Excel, Word
