Job Summary
Design custom high-speed digital electronics using ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, and processors, while conducting analysis of analog circuits for low-noise signal conditioning and power amplifiers. Provide expertise to product development and R&D efforts by collaborating with peers to refine designs and analyses within defined time and budget constraints. Work within a broad-disciplined program team to support electronics manufacturing and test, including developing design and verification documentation and special test equipment. Derive sub-assembly requirements from system-level specifications and define test methodologies to ensure high reliability for space-qualified hardware.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in electrical engineering with minimum 8 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience
- Experience in design, analysis, integration, and test of custom electronics
- Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools (such as Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, HyperLynx, and MS Office)
- Ability to conduct circuit analysis and simulation to optimize performance and reliability
- Understanding of space qualification standards and requirements
- Experience designing custom electronics for space products
- Experience designing to a defined requirements
- Experience with analysis necessary for high reliability space electronics hardware (Electrical stress analysis, worst case circuit analysis, and reliability analysis)
- Experience producing PCB layouts
- Experience and understanding of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
- Understanding of relevant IPC standards needed for electrical design and fabrication
- Experience developing and conducting testing of complex electronic sub-assemblies along with design of special test equipment (STE)
- Experience deriving sub-assembly requirements from higher-level, flowed down, system requirements and defining test methodologies
- Experience developing design & verification documentation (Interface Control Document/Drawings (ICD), Design Description Document (DDD), Test Plan, Test Procedures, Test Reports, etc.)
- Written and verbal communication skills necessary to present designs to internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to complete assigned work within a defined timeline and budget
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
- US Citizenship
